His career combines strong technical expertise with extensive project leadership with significant experience in delivering complex pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities across diverse dosage forms and technologies. He has led end-to-end project activities spanning process and capacity assessment, facility planning and design, engineering, equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification. His expertise spans sterile and complex injectables, semi-solids, oral solid dosage forms with a strong focus on developing efficient, compliant and operationally robust manufacturing environments. With a strong track record in pharmaceutical engineering, project execution, commissioning and qualification, Bhushan is known for translating complex process and facility requirements into practical engineering solutions. His experience encompasses the integration of Process, HVAC, Cleanroom, Utilities, Equipment and Automation systems and coordinating with international OEMs and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects aligned with quality, cost, schedule, operational and regulatory expectations.
Chamarahalli Krishna Iyer Sundhar is a seasoned global pharmaceutical executive with over 31 years of experience, including more than two decades in senior leadership roles as CEO, COO and CTO. His career combines strategic leadership with deep technical and operational expertise, with significant contributions to building and scaling pharmaceutical businesses representing over US$4 billion in enterprise value. He has led more than US$600 million in greenfield and brownfield investments, established high-performing organizations, and built globally compliant manufacturing capabilities across regulated markets. His expertise spans sterile injectables—including pre-filled syringes, cartridges, infusion bags, lyophilized vials and sterile dry powders—as well as oral solid dosage forms, biologics covering both drug substance and drug product, and drug-device combination products. With a strong track record in business transformation, manufacturing excellence, regulatory compliance, technology innovation and operational scale-up, Sundhar is known for converting complex pharmaceutical challenges into practical solutions and sustainable business value—from strategy and concept development through execution, regulatory readiness and commercial scale-up.
